Dear Jan was an incredible person, a one-off, quite unique. So vibrant full of life and interested in everything and everyone and always very happy to give her time and love to all. We spent many happy holidays in Devon and she welcomed everyone into her home. The house was always full of family, foreign students and friends, happy days. Fun, laughter and chaos, was the order of the day, but that made so many happy lasting memories for us all. We always had a film night with David showing many of his cine films. I was lucky enough to go to their wedding, which I can remember quite clearly, so when this film was shown, with me aged about 8, my family thought it hilarious. Those wonderful films expressed a life of love, family and fond memories which we all hold so dear. Jan also helped me with her wise words of wisdom on many occasions, always having time to listen and empathise. So kind hearted. Family was everything to Jan and recently she often told me how lucky she was to have such wonderful children and grandchildren. She really appreciated all your love and help. We feel honoured to call her family and to have shared part of her life. You will always be in our hearts. Fondest love Judith and Brian xxx
